The Wits Business Review (WBR), the flagship journal of Wits Business School, invites bold and innovative submissions for its vibrant inaugural issue, launching December 2025. As a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to igniting academic discourse, bridging theory and practice, and amplifying African voices, WBR is your platform to make a transformative impact on business scholarship across the continent and beyond.
Focus and Scope WBR champions research that captures the complexity and promise of Africa's dynamic business landscape. We welcome original research, case studies, opinion pieces, commentaries, and reviews exploring themes such as:
African Business Contexts - Unpack the socio-economic, institutional, and cultural forces shaping African markets.
Theory Meets Action - Deliver insights that empower entrepreneurs, business leaders, and policymakers.
Global African Voices - Illuminate Africa's diverse regions, industries, and innovative business models.
Entrepreneurship & Innovation - Examine how Africa's youth, digital transformation, and creative solutions drive new markets and strategies.
Sustainability - Investigate green entrepreneurship, responsible corporate practices, and inclusive economic development.
Interdisciplinary Insights - Blend fields like technology, sociology, and finance to tackle Africa's unique business challenges.
Policy Impact - Analyse regulatory environments and policies that shape entrepreneurship, investment, and economic growth across the continent. We strongly encourage submissions from early-career researchers and underrepresented voices, as WBR is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic dialogue.

Submission Guidelines
- Article Types: Original research (6,000-8,000 words), case studies (3,000–5,000 words), or reviews (8,000-10,000 words), excluding references.
- Formatting: APA 7th edition, double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman.
- Abstract: Maximum 300 words, clearly stating objectives, methods, key findings, and potential impact.
